Basically what the topic says, what guitar amp stood out and recorded a famous lick that you like to this day?
Anything from the 60's,70's,80's,90's and present.........
For me it was:
*Brian may with all his stacks of VOX AC30's.
*DimeBag with his Randall Warheads.(This sound had upset a few engineers, but inspired a new genre of metal)
*Eddie Van Halen with peavey 5150(just found out that he used a 1960's marshall amp for the recording of eruption)
*Stevie Ray Vaugn with his fender super reverbs.
*Zakk Wylde with his moded marshall jcm 800's
Reinhard
*Angus and his JMP50's
*Mike Bloomfield and his Fender Twins
*Peter Green and his Fender Deluxe/Super Reverb (I think)
*Paul Kossoff and his Marshall's
*Eric Clapton and his Marshall Bluesbreaker
*Slash's Modified Marshall on AFD
*Jimmy Page's Marshalls and HiWatts

Guthrie Govan - Cornford

Hey Dean
Seem to recall Satch likes a small Cornford (Harlequin !)for recording !
VOX AC15 was a big part of the Brit sound with those UK bands too !
Dumble amps - SRV etc ...
Fender Deluxe Reverb - Beatles last 2 albums, just about every major country recording
Fender Bassman head w/2 x 12" cab - the single most recorded amp in total studio time on all The Beatles recordings (ees true, I didn't believe it either)
+ Roland JC-120 for Metallica & Wes Borland's clean tone, Adrian Belew's live amp
G

Oh! +1 for the JC-120
I wasn't sure if I should have posted the Cornford amp 'cause GG's album is fairly new so I dunno if it "shook the world" enough for this thread ? but I think his tone is really awesome on that album and thought it was worth mentioning.
