I was in the area so I stopped by. Yeah, that store was packed, goodness, my wife immediately went to stand in the queue while I took a look around ? haha Anyway, I managed to get out there without spending any of my own money (a friend of mine asked me to pick up a keyboard for her. Found something within her budget)
I met up with Giggsy, who managed to make it out unscathed as well ? ,but he was on his way to Music Connection , so we might be seeing a NGD thread after all ?

Haha! No NGD yet... have found a tele online though that I will probably order on Monday, and will probably also go back on Monday to TOMS to see what, if anything, is left

I went through at about midday to buy a Boss RC-3 with PDS100 my Mom gave me for my birthday and ended up buying a TU-3 tuner as well ?. I was surprised how much they had discounted the Boss pedals.

I swung by to get a momentary foot switch for my amp and ended up buying this as well, what can I say, I crumble under sale prices!!! :-[

Ah I haven't had a minute to try it yet!
But the nylon string Ibanez I got for 800bucks is really good.
Needs some fretwork, but they said they'd do it for free after the sale.

Nope ? I may be wrong but at MC there was one MIM Blacktop, two different coloured American Standards and then I think two normal standard in different colours. Music Mate had a well used Jim Root model. I would have like to have tried out some thinlines, maybe some of the Classic Player series, a signature model or two... Even when I popped into TOMS Sandton a week or so ago there was nothing that tempted me

Man that JS was a beaut and the price was ridiculously good. I was seriously thinking of taking her or the GB20 but sanity prevailed (somewhat)
At least she went to another forumite. If you ever want to sell her let me know ?

@ Giggsy: The RC30 was R2200 and the amp was R2500 (last one so I got an extra R500 off)
Didn't you didn't like the look of the blonde tele at TOMS ? I thought she was beautiful

Was yesterday in Toms braamfontein and to much Ibanez imo
