New Bandsaw Day

I've been lusting after a bandsaw for many years.
Need it for cutting out bodies, necks, marimba bar arches etc ...

Finally pulled the trigger & was delivered yesterday.
Don't know how I've lived without one.
My job today is to make a rolling base for it like I have for my saw table.
Makes efficient use of a small space - just roll the ones you arent using out of the way.

:applause: Very Nice, Congrats! Funny thing is you manage to make do without one for ages, but when you finally get one there's no going back as they are far too handy.

One thing holding me back from buying one is that I would not know what throat depth to buy - seems like you went for about 350mm? Keep us posted on what the body sawing limitations are (or if you run into any at all?).

It's amazing how many things I've already invented to do - it's a solution looking for a problem.
It's now a "go to" device when I want something cut.

A chap at work bought this exact saw a month ago ... and slid his finger into the blade.
It does a very efficient job of cutting flesh and bone!

Just curious, why didn't you attach the wheels directly to the legs? I mean, why the wooden struts that has to be bolted to the legs exactly where the wheels could have gone?

Very good question.
The one leg is shorter with an adjustable foot.
Never quite figured out how to attach a wheel to it.
