I just read that Bloc Party are headlining Rocking the Daisies. Add to this Oppikoppi's Eagles of Death Metal, Bullet for my Valentine, Enter Shikari and Seether, and it would seem that South Africa is becoming a more viable option for these huge international acts. I am personally heading down to One Night in Cape Town to watch Eagles of Death Metal and Enter Shikari.
Any thoughts as to why there would be this change in choice of touring destinations? Artists feeling the pinch of internet piracy, and so touring more?
Judging by the number of famous people who are ending up in TV ads, I'd say times are hard and when you find out how much money you owe the studio, your agents, the tax man and so on times are even harder.
