I know this is a curse word around most music circles, but Boney M have some good bass lines. "Sunny", "Never Change Lovers in the middle of the night" are 2 great examples.

+1 on Maxwell Murder by Rancid, epic bass solo there.

I also fancied some of the hip hop lines, like Snoop Doggs "What's my name" has a cool descending run.

Something else that people miss out on just because it's considered unfashionable and not rock 'n roll is Abba. "One Of Us" has a great bass part.

Another great bass line and bassist , much underrated as a bassist i think...... ppl tend to focus on the show ...all good muso's though an gene brilliant ..enjoy !!
