triple stacked P90 superstrat

well I found this website http://www.gearclearance.co.za
with some interesting guitars on
not a big range but what I see as fantastic prices
anyway ordered one

apparently all the items on there are demo or discontinued models from the local distributors

and here it is:

a strat like guitar with 3 P90's

the feature I like most is the "roll control" where you can taper off the 2nd coil inside the pickup to go from a nice raunchy P90 tone to a single coil tone

anyways just thought Ill share

How a good a deal are you actually getting there?

Nothing against Carparelli, but this site says you can get an "Ivory Tower" at 5 995 and the usual price, they say, is 17 995. There was one of those hanging in Andy McGibbon's shop just before he closed down, and the price was a lot closer to 5 995 than 17 995.

You got a nice axe though, and that's an interesting wiring idea. IIRC the Peavey T60 had something similar, but linked to the tone controls.

well I have no Idea what the MSRP for a caparelli should be

I just recon a 3xP90 strat like guitar
is not something you see everyday
and I thought R2799 was a good price
for it, even though it was discontinued NOS

A P90 is a single coil, so what is being rolled off here?

well in Trevor Wilkinson's version of the Pickup he has split the coil
the roll control brings in or takes out the second part of the coil

so on this guitar you have an volume control
overall tone control
and the 'roll control'

also of interest is the neck joint

which has a ''bubinga' wood extention witch runs onto the body to below the 1st Pickup
which really make it sustain much more than a normal strat

This is a website that we have set up, selling off our demo showroom or discontinued models at very low prices. So all the prices on the website are exceptionally good. If Andy was selling a Ivory Tower for around 5995 he must have been making a massive loss because his cost would have been a lot more. Back then I think it retailed for around 15k so he probably was selling at around 10k cash.

I've actually heard some of these P90's in action - and they are quite cool.

Tripple stack P90's must be freaking awesome - cool axe you got there man.
