? and that video is him maybe 15- 20 yrs ago heheheh you should hear him now even better if you can believe that , he is my all time fave solo guitarist

intersting life story too, father was a jazz bassist , had him gigging at a young age was a teen and playing the london jazz circuit , at 16 he lied about his age and got the guitar chair in the jazz band on the prestigeous QE2 ocean liner , and wait for this he lied about been able to read music and only half way across the atlantic did the band leader realise he couldn't read , but hey he got to new york ....... and he played with the world famous stephane grapelli(jazz violinist ) who used to have none other than django reinhardt as his guitarist so martin stepped into some serious shoes and played with stephan at a very young age too about 19 if i recall......

another fabulous story about him is that when he was a kid , he worked out a piece he heard on the radio and played it totally correct , only to be told later that it was meant to be a guitar duet and yet he managed to find a way to play both parts at same time ...... ?

i love a large variety of solo artist but Martin Taylor is truly head and shoulders above any of the others ......

i have been a fan for many years ............ and try and ~~steal~~ ? learn as much as i can from his video's and work and have his tutorial book too ,

anyone who's into melody /chord/ bass line solo guitar playing can benefit from being exposed to his work

You introduced me to this guy when you loaned me that "Four Martins" DVD.

Two of those Martins - Taylor and Simpson - are gigging together in the UK this year, but that all finishes before I get there :'(
