Playing "Set Me Free" Intro from Velvet Revolver

Hey all,

If you ever heard of it, Set Me Free from VR is AWESOME. Now, I want to play it on guitar, and went to www.ultimate-guitar.com for the tabs. But I don't know how to play the very beginning of it, because the tabs are on separate strings, and they must be strummed together, without the B string being played. basically what the intro is, is the use of octaves...
all you have to do is mute the B and G strings by putting
your index finger over them without pressing so hard that you fret the note.... thus muting the string
