Mannemarak wroteMy only issue is that some eBooks were cheap when it all began compared to the paper versions but I bought the hunger games series for the same price I would have paid for the paper version. shouldn't the ebooks be much cheaper than paper versions? less energy to produce. I know that the authors need most of the money but there is some ebooks costing the same as the paper versions.
Price now for the first in the Hunger games books:
Paper: R 112 (Before the special price which is now R96)
eBook: R 117
It takes less energy to produce, but there are a lot more people who need to get paid than just the author. There's the illustrator, editor, proofreader and eventually the author. If e-books make costs drop too much then publishing houses are going to lose out big time.
