Strange dreams

Hi

I am starting to think that having really weird dreams is something quite unique to musicians as a subset of the general population?

Late last week, I dreamt of Krill (small Shrimp-like planktonic crustaceans) made a public a apology to the whale species for eating THEM in order to generate more Krill milk.

I don't take any drugs...I don't even drink any alcohol!

My one muso friend dreamt that a baboon kept stealing his Simba chips.

Would like to hear that I'm not the only one but will accept it if I am hahahaha

I have strange dreams too, just this morning I dreamt I had a conversation with the neighbors cat (yes it was talking) about the other neighbors cat trying to move her kittens into our house. My neighbors don't have cats BTW. The other strange thing is that in 90% of my dreams I'm at Oppikoppi with the Rock 'n Roll blaring over the bush felt.

That happened to me not too long ago. Not the dream, the baboon stealing my simba chips. Nothing strange about that dream other perhaps that he dreamt about something that happened to somebody he doesn't even know. Whoah!!! That's heavy. ?

Heheh - just kidding - today is 'Winter Solstice - 21st June' a day which many traditional cultures (Inca's, Tibetan's) celebrate the turning of the seasons (Winter -> Summer or vice-versa in the N.Hemisphere). Equinox and Solstice are apparently auspicious times for dreaming.

But if you see me driving around Killarney in a pink tutu I'd ask you to please stop me...Unless I was in a Aston, which sounds about 'normal' for Cape Town... :roflmao:

I recall greeting 1st rays of sun of Winster solstice in Ollantaytambo, Peru on the morning of the 21st (http://www.sacredtrips.com/2010/june/olly.htm - but as Bob says the actual day is the 20th, which was spent camping on top of the mountain waiting for the sun to rise (and t'was chilly)!

Today is indeed the 20th, not the 21st. But also, today is indeed the winter solstice. Remeber, the winter solstice doesn't necessarily occur on the 21st of June and it doesn't last an entire day. It is an instantaneous occurrence and it happens between 20 June and 21 June. This year it happens to occur on the 20th of June at 23:09.

Today's date is the 20th. Solstice is actually early tomorrow morning - at least in SA. In the UK it's late on the evening of the 20th.

Of course you're right. Solstice may be at 23:09 but that's Universal Time so for us here at GMT+02:00 the sun will reach it's northernmost declination at 01:09 tomorrow morning. I think I will celebrate it by sleeping. ?

I ha a wiers dream the other day...you know these slasher movies where the guy wears a hockey mask. Same type of thing, but it was a chick...wonder if my ex found me... :-\

I had the coolest dream last night...

I dreamt I was sitting next to a fire with this old black blues guy in a pet cemetery. He was playing this ancient acoustic guitar and I was playing this weird thing; something between a violin and a electric guitar. It had awesome tone! We started playing and all of these zombie dogs raised from their graves and danced to the music. It wasn't scary at all, it was awesome! In my dream this was the plan, raise the zombie dogs! Then we finished our haunting blues song and all the dogs dissipated back into their graves. I woke up with a smile on my face, what a dream.
