I have to say that any iOS (iPhone) or Android (Samsung Galaxies, HTC's etc.) kick the Blackberries out of the swimming pool without a doubt. Having had experience in all, I seriously dislike BB's - especially for the price you pay for the Bold.
The "uncapped/unlimited Internet" is actually capped as well by the way, and grabbing an Internet bundle p/month (which is often provided extra on contracts) for a android device for example works out about the same as paying for BIS.
Sure there's BBM if you're into that..meh.. but I've seen to many friends having to take out the battery ever few hrs. because the Blackberry freezes.
Sorry for my rant - just my 2c ?
Not too sure why you are ranting. BB has it's market , it's a basic, quite user friendly, some models do have issues, but so do Samsungs, Sony etc.
Just ask half the schoolkids in South Africa, makes a huge difference when you dont have to worry about internet usage, just think Twitter, FB etc.
The Android/Apple phones are obviously aimed at a different market , Apps, Style Speed etc. Those who are not that technically challenged or don't mind Touch Screens.
I have used my BB for almost 2 years and I browse at least 500 MB's per month, and I browse a lot and I have never been cut off or had to pay in any difference. My bill has been more or less the same amount the whole duration.
I am a bit of techno geek so I want to get my hands on an Android. But my wife who just want's to phone, update her FB and send text messages, the BB is perfect for her.
It's like comparing cars, need a little runaround that can get you from A to B, nothing wrong with a Corsa Lite, going Camping to Cape Town with a family of 5, you might want to get a different vehicle. No point in ranting that the Corsa just can't do the job
