Must be the only bass here ?
Squire Vintage Modified 70's Jazz Bass. Brand new less than 2 weeks old when I bought it.
Got this one a two weeks ago at a very low price. The guy I bought it from said he didn't like it. When I went to check it out I told him that the bridge pickup wasn't working and it needed and it needed better strings and a change in neck and string setup. He told me that the pu was ok as he had it checked at the shop he bought it from. I bought it anyway as all this I could fix easily myself. When I checked the electrics when I got home I found the ground wire from the bridge pu simply not connected, it never was as the wire had no solder on. Don't know what the shop technician did on this one or if he ever checked it. Now with new D'Addario's flatwound Chrome 50-105, a small neck adjustment and lower action setting this is a real good bass sounding like a real Fender JB. Never mind having the Squire name. These are really good instruments, in my opinion as good as or better than some MIM ones.
Took me exactly a day getting used to the new neck with 20 frets compared to the Ibanez Musician Bass I've been playing and which has 24 frets. Always amazes me how the brain seem to automatically adjust finger spacing for slight different fret spacing. Anyway am now playing this one full time, just love the sound and fast action of it (I played last on a Fender JB nearly 42 years or so ago) Recommend this model to any aspiring or other bassist.
