Hi Guys

I just baught a Rock Buck amp and cab simulator to use if A. my amp breaks down on me or B. there is no amp to use form me.

I would like to know what effect the rock bug will have if I use it on my Amp. I used it as such and was surprised at how much better the sound is. Is this wise?

I use a Fender Deluxe 3.

As long as you don't boost the output radically, there is no harm in it. And if it sounds good, it is good. Conventional wisdom says that if you use an amp/speaker sim into a guitar amp, you should use the effect return as an input, but there are no hard and fast rules.

You won't always, and guitar amps can usually take a lot of punishment. An easy way to check is just to bypass the pedal and compare volumes. There can be a bit of a boost with the pedal engaged, but if the sound with it on is way louder than the bypass sound, you are probably hitting the amp's input too hard.
