symbolofmylife So I own a Boss GT8. I read online recently that there's software available enabling the user to mess with patches via the pc. Apparently it's a lot more user friendly. Ok. So they say all you need's the software you can download, and then a midi interface that the unit connects to. DonovanB I use the M-audio Midisport Uno. Very similar to that item. Then there are 2 programs to edit the GT8 patches by pc. Then you can also export and import patches to and from the PC.
AlanRatcliffe Yeah. That'll work. You can use a simple 1-in/1-out just as easily too. Basically any MIDI interface will work. If it's a standalone interface (not needed with the one you link 'cos the cables are integrated), make sure you have two 5-pin MIDI cables too. I can highly recommend the software (GT-FxFloorBoard) for programming the GT-8. Makes it a breeze to tweak with everything on screen. I use the version for my GT-Pro. In fact, that goes for any
