Hi guys,
So I bought a 98' Squier by Fender Strat from singemonkey a while back for a really great price. The catch was that it needed work, mainly problems to do with frets and setup. I've been tweaking it here and there, but can't seem to get it 100% right, as I lack tools.
Does anyone have any ideas regarding a super low budget (couple of hundred max) way to get this guitar sorted out? My main problem is the neck. Basically, I've refretted the thing, but I don't have the tools for leveling and crowning. Can do the polish myself. The other thing is the nut - I could supply a pre-slotted stewmac one, that would just need some tweaking.
I'm pretty confident in all of the other aspects of setup, so those aren't the problem. So what I'm looking for is a level and crown and some nut fitting.
Anyone need any practice?
