Hey everybody, quite a delayed post, but I thought I'd show you all my new Warmoth build:

Swamp Ash Body
Maple Neck, Ebony Fretboard
1 11/16 Graphtech Nut
Stainless Steel 6105 Frets
10-16" Compound Radius
25 1/2" Scale
Bill Lawrence (Wilde) L500R (Neck) & L500XL (Bridge)
Locking tuners, rollers saddles etc..

to styles: I think it was about R6k or R7k, but shipping and tax made it more like R8k

to slyd: Yup, danish oil is great! Feels really nice and smooth, looks good, and it comes in a cool bottle. Only problem is that the smell is kind of funny.

If you wax, and then buff, the smell goes away. Cobra white is good, but has it's own smell..... I use an odourless "vintage wax" (made for furniture) from the hardware, on the danish oil, and then buff it to a high sheen with a rotary buffer/polish.

Plus, you get a really nice polished shine . . ?

Will I lose the open pored feel?

Hmmmmm, . . . partly, but the buffed wax feels great itself.

It's up to you. I'm sure the Danish oil odour will go away after a while, anyway!

But whatever your choice, I still must say again, that's a pretty gurl!

Yes, I think the smell is somewhat weaker than when it was newly built.
