Vespa people

I'm trying to take a pic of a Vespa - preferably older model, nice condition - in Cape Town. If any kind soul has, or knows of someone who would allow me to photograph their Vespa ... or if you know where there are clusters of them ie. suburb, parking area, where a bunch of people would have Vespas - I'll just go there. I know there seems to be a Vespa community in Tulbach but I'm trying to put off schlepping out there.

I'll probly go along to the showroom near the Waterfront- see if I can come right there. Did anyone know that they retail for 54k these days! Awesome little things.

At Clearwater mall on the weekend they had a whole bunch of Vespa's on show. They are cute little things ?

Reminded me a bit of Quadrophenia!

When I was in the UK in 2008 I stumbled across Lambretta's almost everywhere I went.

In Plymouth there must have been about 100 of the things in a parking lot, and they seem to love decorating them with Bling

Those are awesome - thanks for posting - it's like folk art. These people remind me of that woman - can't remember her name someone Martens out at New Bethesda. Well her and people in the States who do their house up with all kinds of stuff. Now it's on wheels! It's mobile folk art in a way. I love it! I'll try find some examples.

People with classic vehicles do stupid things. In 2010 I drove down to Hermanus via PE with a 1973 Datsun for a car show. The trip back was via Langebaan, Upington and kathu. Round trip of almost 4000km. Does not sound like much, but do it in something old and you come to appreciate modern conveniences. ?
