i just know it sounds freaking awesome!

Yeah, it's an original design and we decided on a jfet for the clean boost, Ben said that it worked best with the trem.

It's pretty much like having a Fender amp style trem and a clean boost in a pedal. NIFTY!

rikus

That's pretty sweet! I've recently been gassing for a trem... I'm assuming that there aren't any convenient clips available to have a listen?

None yet I think, I'm buying it to use on an album, so at the very least there will be a decent sounding clip next year some time.....

Awesome man! I dig the LED eyes too.

Sean

Interesting pedal Greg. So it's a custom build. Nice. I asked Benjamin about the circuit he's looking at for he's production offering. He says he's still undecided and he's looking at either a mosfet stage or an opamp stage.

Greg

Yeah, he told me just now that he decided mosfet is best. I trust his judgement, so whatever he settles on, I'll be happy with!

I love the Craig custom paint work....

One of my Craig pedals is a slightly modded
Toenail Clipper, but named....as requested by me,
a Distraction Pedal.

Norman86

now that is what i am liking to talk bout! 8)

my ragnarök fuzz in progress.... its hot!

ragnarök, for interest sake, means : the fate of the gods.. taken and inspired by norse mythology!
no labels will be going on though, as it will detract from the awesome paintwork!

Greg

SICK!!!!

As is the WOODMAUL!

Norman86

2 x Dual opamp fuzz. Completely original design, and switches between silicon and germanium diodes.

Im SOOOOO excited 8) cant wait for monday!

mtmattan

Ooooooo that is interesting!
Haven't seen a dual op amp fuzz.
Is the extra op amp for input and output buffers?

Norman86

its for silicon and germ ?

mtmattan

The extra op amp is for silicon and germ?

Norman86

uh.. the switch is to switch between asgard and helheim!
or as i understand, between the opamps!

From the circuit, the switch swaps between the two diode types. The two opamps will likely be gain stages as well as input and output buffers. A common "problem" with fuzz circuits is that they are very reactive to what other pedals on either side of them do and where the guitar volume or amp gain are set, and the buffers stop that. Of course a lot of people still like their fuzzes reactive, so it's six of one and a half dozen of the other.

Sean

Non inverting stage into inverting into inverting into buffer which drives the tone controls

The switching is between germanium and silicon diodes clipping diodes
