Love or hate disco , she was a great influence on the genre.

Amazing how Donna Summer will always remind me of Settlers Agricultural High School. I was there in 1976 and there was a Recreation Centre with a Hifi(that's what we used to call them) and the first time I went in there, Donna Summer's 'Love to Love you Baby' was playing.
Obviously couldn't stand it, as I was a huge The Who fan at the time, but was my first introduction to "Disco"

She was actually a very good singer indeed. Famous for her disco hits (and she was ambivalent about some of them) but could do a lot more. I recall seeing her on TV many years ago singing Burt Bacharach and Hal David songs and doing a very good job of it.

I just gonna say it... I love disco.

Donna Summer Mac Athur Park

For me her disco stuff was up there with The BeeGees' "Saturday Night Fever" ........ and

I agree with JFJ...... Mac Arthur Park was/is one of my favourite Donna Summer songs ..... brilliant! She did have an incredible voice!

Excellent voice, a real artist , I secretly enjoyed 'The Wanderer'

But it has to be the Richard Harris version for me. Beggars Opera also did a great version
