Anyone seen this Documentary or know of Daniel Johnston?
A musician/artist who is diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Manic Depression.
He writes all these real quirky songs but at the same time has all these mental problems and spends a lot of time in institutions. He has a fixation about the Devil and refused to sign a recording contract with Elektra because Metallica were on the Label.
Kurt Cobain increased his fame by wearing a Daniel Johnston Album T-Shirt at Nirvana's Nevermind Press Promotion.
Very interesting documentary but tended to focus more on his mental illness than his musical career.
