Morley vs Dunlop!

I wanna know which wah-wah / crybaby you guys find has a better tone to it.
I have used both Bad Horsie Morley pedals (simply cause I was a big Vai fan), but I don't reallllly like the tone I get from them. The Dunlop that Satch uses seems to have a much wider range of sound. It also helps bring out harmonics in a big way.

Comments suggestions.... 😛

I've got a Morley (not the Vai version) and the tone is great. I sometimes find myself playing a whole solo with the wah engaged (not moving it at all) just for that rounded sound I can get from it.

I'll bring it round today so you can test it out.

My only irritation is the on/off button which is completely inconveniently placed right at the foot of the pedal.

Hmm, "foot of the pedal" makes no sense at all. I meant to say right at the heel of the pedal.

I have a crybaby classic wah ( not the same as satch ) but the same as that eric johnson and Stevie ray vaughan used. I simply love it.

I've owned a Cry Baby classic wah, but it was in bad shape so I can't say whether it is as good as some people say it is. I've moved on to a 535Q which is much more versatile. I also own a Ibanez Weeping Demon which is really nice and more modern sounding than the cry baby. I like the fact that the weeping demon has selectable automatic or manual on/off switching, plus spring and normal footboard action (In case you like to use your wah partially on to create a filtered sound).

I've tested a few of the morleys and they are good for the modern sounds, but don't really give you that classic wah sweep. I guess it's a matter of individual taste.

as far as I'm aware SRV was the proud owner of the Vox-wah Hendrix used at woodstock, and Eric Johnson also uses a Vox? Well, every rig demo of his I've seen has had a Vox in the chain... but that'd be interesting, I'm also looking for a wah, but with true bypass, and the vox doesn't have that... not sure about the cry baby... however google is on the top right-hand side of my screen, so I suppose I'm just too lazy to look 😛
