Don't know the current American models. Do they do a solid finish alder tele with vintage bridge saddles? Equivalent to some of the Japanese Fender reissue models in specs though, I reckon. Basically your early '60s, alder bodied tele in solid finishes.

Hey, them Les Paul "Specials" are real purdy, ....BUT, . . . .

if there were 1 or 2 straight Tokai "Les Pauls", or "Les Paul Customs", . . . I could bite into the GAS capsule.
My only guitar requirement (at present) is a Les Paul Custom, either by Gibson, or Tokai, as these are the only 2 makes that really attain the pinnacle of the Les Paul principle! (my opinion only)

The "special" is nice, but not what I want.
Lance, . . . gimme a "custom" at a similar price, and I'm THERE, bru! ?

I am interested in buying it and don't know much about it. I am going to be selling my Ibanez Gio after I purchase it so it should be an improvement?

I haven't played one, but they are regarded as being a cut above the other Chinese rank-and-file of guitars. It's a take on the classic Les Paul Special singlecut (Gibson scale length, 2 x P90 pickups, flat body with no maple cap, wrap-around bridge). Wood choice is different over the original, but basswood body with maple neck is a good combo. Your main issue will be whether you like P90s or not, which only you can say...

Never had any experience with P90's.....
