Guitar Pro to Audacity

Sorry if this has been asked before...

I want to take the drums from a track in Guitar Pro and use it in a project in Audacity. Can it be done?

Delete all tracks in Guitar Pro except the drums, export a .wav or .midi and import into Audacity. Did a very quick google and it seems midi has been supported in Audacity since 2008.

I don't use Audacity but it should be easy conceptually, supports multiple tracks, midi etc.

Thanks - pretty sure that's what I have been trying but will give it another shot tonight
