I've bought some stuff from The Music Zoo before and wasn't particularly impressed with their service. It felt like they were doing me a favour.

One company I couldn't recommend more is Route66 Classic Guitars www.route66classicguitars.com. Absolutely flawless customer service and very nice people indeed.

Then get a myus.com address and ship anything you want. I bring in strings once every three months like this, mics, cables, headphones, sound cards, you name it.

Musicians friend will ship any brand to south africa as long as its in their second hand section.
Over $500 and it ships via ups free, u only have to pay import duties

I've bought my gibson sg and fender jag bass from there. Paid about R900 duties on each. Received it in under 4 days tto my door
? still worked out heck of a lot cheaper than buying locally.

There was a jim root tele at park meadows music mate going for R8200.00 but it was a black one. I've been pining for a white one too for a very long time. Only seen a handful of white ones in sa

Please note that if their is a REGISTERED DISTRIBUTOR for a product in South Africa mail order companies by agreement should not ship any new products to South Africa. This could affect their supply agreement with the manufacturer. Check out www.musiciansfriend.com as they seem to have the international shipping rights sassed out.

+1 on musiciansfriend. Recently bought an expensive "2nd hand" keyboard there. They said its condition 2 but it seemed like the box was never even opened, like brand new. Not even a scratch, all original packaging and accessories.

Sorry to revive an old thread but had a great experience buying from Sam Ash stores in the US.
They don't ship internationally via their website but you can just contact them via email and somebody will assist.

They ship with FedEx economy which added $50 to my pedal purchase but worth it for the peace of mind of a tracking number etc.
Service was friendly and efficient. Just pm me if you don't come right and I'll happily give you the contact details of the sales guy who helped me ?
