spider valve head just like a 5150?

hey guys

thought i'd post this up, i think a good few of ya might find it really interesting ? . if you read his heading its pretty self explanatory. i actually think the spider valve 'becomes' the 5150 100% . but yeah, would be interesting to hear what some of ya think ?

I have never watched a TTK video where I though "Man that amp sounds great". I think he can't play well enough or something. TTK vids are in my mind the worst-case scenario for an amp, in real life you know they will sound better ?

Not bad - if you're looking at spending money to get a 5150 sound though, take a look at the Bugeras (6260, 6262, 333 XL). I have the 6262, which has an identical circuit layout to the 5150-II (if I'm not mistaken, could be one of the other Peaveys though). A little googling will tell you which one is a copy of the 5150. I haven't personally done an A/B comparison, but the second hand Bugera cost me a quarter of what a second hand Peavey would have cost - and it's definitely a lot more than "a quarter" of the quality.
