holy 'ell - fender eric clapton amps

hey guys

i got all hot and bothered when i read about this, lol. fender are now producing an eric clapton signature amp. its their first ever signature amplifier.

People's tastes change and develop? Surely Clapton is a person as well? I didn't follow that thread about him being outplayed by the local chap, but that seemed to indicate so.

That amp looks like an exact copy of the Bluesbreaker amp Marshall did 20 years ago...wouldn't mind one though, a Strat would probably sound fan-fooking-marvellous through it.

yeah, yeah hey, thats the point ? . one e clapton+les paul+marshall w/glowing hot valves and well, rock guitar for the next 40 years was born ? . i would also say too that that sound/tone is most associated with 'god' , lol.

I have to admit that there are people who like the stuff he did after 1970. But I ain't one of them. It's legit though. I see it. He did get more subtle. But for me, I think he lost what made him really stand out among other guitar players.

No, no! I heard that god only plays Malmsteen riffs, everything else is too easy for him...apparently.
