Why not try the link I posted? They will supply you with ANY type of plastic stock. I have yet to find something they don't supply unless you need something really specialized like a polyacetal rod with PTFE and molybdenum filler or something.

Look up harry's plastics in Honeydew
they will be able to sell you the material and cut it using a CNC machine.
have used them on one of my guitars

I buy perspex from maizey all the time. An A4 piece will cost you about R30.
Being a graphic designer, I draw the outline I need to scale, take my piece of 3mm perspex to an engraver/ craft services place and have it laser cut. Comes out perfect. At the same time I usually etch in a design as well, and it looks great.

I've made many things from perspex, but have yet to make a pick-guard.
You'd want the edge chamfered on a pick-guard though, but I don't know how well perspex takes to routing as it's pretty brittle. I'll try edging some off cuts to see if it works.

The usual with plastic: you need to get the revs down, only use very sharp cutters and never get the feedrate to a point where the fall away angle of the cutter rubs against the uncut material. Any stepping over the line will result in heating up of the bit and then... mayhem. Brittleness is going to stay a problem long after the pickguard has been cut, because pickguards screw into wood and take a bit of a beating. Better use another material, if possible.

On the perspex note, I have a question. I once saw a perspex bodies strat. It's made by Crescendo. If I want to have a body like that made for a strat though, where can I have it done?

I saw one of those in a pawn shop the other day. That thing is heavy.

Now that you mention it...I can imagine, maybe not sucha good idea. Just had a vision of one of those with the headstock saying, in the famous font, FENSTER... ?
