pine telecaster body finish

i am in the process of making a pine telecaster body.

i found some pine over the weekend on a farm, use to be part of an old building, looks like good stuff.
i still need to plane it down and get the wood abit cleaner, so i will have some pics later this week.

but i need some advice as to what you would suggest to do with the finish ?

i was looking at the butterscotch finish, and found this aritcle:

i would like to do something unique as well

Well, I just used Danish Oil on my pine tele. For the ease and the feel mostly.

Have seen great results (more glossy) with other kinds of oil, it really depends on whether you can spray or not.

Something about oil finished pine Teles appeals to me too. Black guard and vintage bridge. A simple and "working horse" kind of look...

i've got danish oil, tung oil and nitro celluouse and got access to spray booth.

so i think i will experiment with the danish oil first
