Those are the cheapest D'Addario strings I could find. Medium tension. Took more than a week to settle.

Nice. I'm using the high tension Composites and I can highly recommend them. They're definitely worth the money and have a pretty long life.

Great stuff Conrad. I feel that there could be slightly stronger dynamics ito volume and attack, but really nicely done. I can still remember that piece actually, pretty sure it was played in Once Upon A Time In Mexico or Desperado, although on an electric ?

Hi Sean. Yes we took those pics in different parts of Spain. I grouped the areas together in this video but obviously I had to exclude some.

The reason many find this piece familiar is because this is not THE Malaguena but A Malaguena.

A Malaguena is a form of Spanish music with a 6/4 time signature with the melody and chord structure that many picked up as familiar and is named after the town Malaga as it apparently originated there.

Therefore what many classical guitarists learn is the Malaguena form, not the piece. There is no such thing. So this is A Malaguena by Per Olov Kindgren (whom I am delighted to say had a favourable comment on this interpretation YAY!).

Much like a 12 bar blues by John Lee Hooker is not "the 12 bar blues" but "a 12 bar blues piece by John Lee Hooker".
