I came very close to buying a Tokai LP from Bothners ... one of those that Alan had tried out.
But they only had the goldtop left ... and I have issues with gold.
My therapist is still trying to uncover the dark childhood experience that caused it.

Yeah. The cat could tell it wasn't hollow, so it thought it was the real thing for sure. It needs to move with the times ?

Congrats! I actually did think it was a Gibson R8 for some reason when I saw the first pic. They call this colour Brown Sunburst - BS ? Superb guitars. But then my feelings on the subject are well known.

Shouldn't - they are very different guitars. ? The Tokais also have very vintage voiced pickups, which to my mind have a lot more character than any of the modern pups.

The Tokai sounds more like the G 'n R version because it was also recorded on a Les Paul - also a Les Paul that wasn't made by Gibson, of course ?
