I will probably keep my strat, I need to keep it I think. But yeh I went with a Reverend for a few reasons.
1)working in am music store for a few months has made me come to understand how hard Fender are to work with, and that alone made me want to find a smaller, friendlier place to invest my money in the future.
2) I needed a change, going between jazzmasters, an strats, was getting old so I needed something new.

So far I like it, the bass contour is fun, truth be said I am just using the bridge pickup 99% of the time........ with my Dr z Carmen ghia. That alone sounds great in most clubs I play, I sometimes use that and the Fender bassman when I want to piss off a sound man.

Overall I think the Reverend has a cool thing going on that not many other guitars have, its own little flavour......
maybe if I get big enough I can get a free reverend, or a signature one day ?

Thank you very much, I fear if I ever became semi famous it would be the song that I never want to play (aka Radiohead never playing Creep) But as long as I am slumming it in Bars and opening slots in Clubs I am going to play it ?

Yeh it is loud, weird though is my Carmen Ghia is louder, which is a scary thing seeing as its what 45wat bassman vs 18 watt carmen ghia.
Actually credit due to alot of the clubs I play, sound guys go "you use two amps?"
Sheepishly I replay "Yes, at the same time, rather loud"
They go "Great we will have good tone"

There are a lot of bands here who put my volume to shame, for example the other night a guy pulled out a Hiwatt half stack 100 watt head..... and a orange thunderverb 100 half stack. It was rather loud in a small club, but hey that was there thing.

I have had a few venues complain about the volume of my amps, but usually when the drums kick in and the band is playing it sits nice in the mix.

On a side note I just got word that this song will be on some Super Sport shows, so let me know if you ever hear it as I dont get no Super Sport anymore

Dude are you sure there's not something wrong with your Bassman? What drivers are in the cab? Or are you cabbing the CG out as well?

I am running a 212 cab..... with a vintage 30 and a g12...... sounds great.. but yeh the carmen ghia is pretty damn loud........ just through its 210 config

wow that's interesting.. still doesn't make much sense to me. those Dr Z speakers must have sensitivity over 100db..

From about 4 up on the bassman it just gets more saturated....... same goes for the Z but from about 50% ..... Itsn ot like there is a huge difference in the 2...... just that the character on the Z manages to come through the Bassman rather nice.

The other video we have, was made by a local artist using his stop motion painting.... super cool and it took him weeks to do as he painted it on his bedroom wall.
