Fresh out the oven ?

also on youtube, i prefer the sound there ?

Very well played and your voice sounds a lot like Snowy White - especially with the short delay. But I have to be honest - the updated drumbeat kills it for me.

It's odd, I have mixed feelings on the drumbeat. I actually think it fits your voice and the song. It sounds pretty cool. BUT.. I adore this song, it is probably my favorite song of all time. I love the emotion Mark gets when he sings and plays this song, I feel his thoughts when he sings them. The drumbeat ruins that for me.

Excellent and Alan's Snowy White Similarity is spot on. The Vocals sound good and clear, what effects were you using for the vox.
You nailed the Knopfler phrasing and tone.
Good Stuff
Sneakily listened to "In the Air Tonight" while I was there, Good Version

thank you!
the fx used on the vox were a lexicon verb and 1/4 note delay
from delay design of logic pro.
a bit of a doubler too.
LOTS of compression ?
im a huge Knopfler fan.
i think i played that song in my one man gigs more than any other song.

Hi there
Firstly, the original song is a definite classic, and thumbs up for giving it your own personal touch!
Fantastic guitar sound and performance, if there's one part that had to be right I suppose it would have to be the guitar and you really did well. I'm not a big fan of the drums sound, I can see the general idea but it seems like the drums are in no mans land, between ethnic & mainstream, perhaps you could have gone completely against the original one here and made it completely unique, there's an artist, Whyte Fang, who remixes songs, if you get a chance listen to Whyte Fang's rendition of one of my all time favourite female bands, 'The Grates - Turn Me On'. Then listen to the original version, totally new song.
The vocals are great, the mixing does sound a bit overdone, but that's not a bad thing, really dreamy feel to them.
Good work all in all, I would definitely listen to you perform this live from beginning to end!

thanks dude, glad you listened and liked it ?
