Zen Arcade - Does anybody remember them?

Back in 1999 I was playing at The Big Easy in Kensington twice a week with the Diamond Dogs. On the nights that I wasn't playing, I moonlighted as the house sound-engineer for the royal fee of R100 a night (????). I saw and engineered many bands during that time, but the one band that stood out for me was Zen Arcade. They were a 4-piece that played originals.

The guitar player used two 4x10 peavey cabs and a Line 6 Kidney POD (the original one) with a foot-controller. He placed a cab on each side of the stage and got a very nice stereo spread like that. Can't remember waht head he used or what axe. He was a good player as well.
The drummer was top-notch (tight,power), Bass player did what the songs wanted (the best way to play bass) and the Vocalist had a good voice and stage presence. The band was tight and had good songs. Nobody overplayed or tried to show off.

I know they released an album a year or 2 later.
There is a specific track on the album that I am after, so if you happen to own it, maybe we can make a plan and mail mp3's.

Does anybody on this forum have the album or remember this band.

I never got to know them well, so I don't know their names and I'm to lazy to Google it...

I remember this band. Sadly I never did buy any of their music. Just heard them on Barney Simon's 5FM show and saw a few of their gigs in the early 2000s. Great band with some good songs. I seem to remember reading something about them reforming in the last year or two... ??? Ah, yes, a Google search confirms it. Released a new album last year called Moonshine which seems to have charted on 5FM. They have a Facebook page, but no real activity this year: http://www.facebook.com/ZenArcadeMusic

Maybe try contacting them directly through their FB page?
