☹ I don't know a single one on that list XRB...seems I have some googling to do...
You must have heard some of them, even if you don't know the names.
Marilyn Nokwe and Felicia Marian were both members of Joy who had a massive hit with "Paradise Road", though Marilyn is probably best known as one of the backing singers (!) for Mango Groove.
Edi Niederlander performed "Ancient Dust" which was a bit of a hit and also in the (first) "Jock of the Bushveld" soundtrack.
Renee Arnell was a session singer on some well known songs by bands whose names I can't remember, and had a hit "Hey Boy!" with her own band Via Afrika.
Heather Mac was the lead singer with Ella Mental, who had a biggish hit with "Clowns".
Jennifer Ferguson was a bit anti-establishment, but did get some air play back in the 80s with the delightful "Where You Gonna Be Tomorrow". I think that was the only song with the word "larnie" in it to make the Radio 5 top 20.
