If the internet disappeared

no one will buy music anymore!!
and human life will cease to exist!!
It would be terrible to live through that!

dee

I might actually get work done then!!

Squonk

I still prefer CD's and Vinyl!

I used to love all the stuff you used get in the old LP's (The Imported ones). Wish You Were Here has postcards, Physical Graffiti - you could change the content of the windows...and it sounded better ???

Kalcium

Since music would be less readily available people would probably go to more live shows and buy more cds and it would be easier to make a living playing music

Hammeron

There'd be no GFSA.... ☹

I also prefer the original CDs. Yes it is more expensive, but that is the way that I like it.
Almost like digital vs analog... we all tend to prefer the analog stuff?

Nicholas-L

Dust of those books and LP's. ?

Bob-Dubery

Maybe the price of CDs would come DOWN.

For a start, Metallica wouldn't have to bear the cost of suing Napster.

epictring

More of my bands EP CD's will probably sell and more people will pitch up for the actual live show instead of chatting over Facebook. I think the Internet is killing us more than helping, obviously it's helping in the sense of connecting with your fans etc. but has made it too easy for people to get access to music (in other words, STEAL our music) and resulted in poor musos and lazy "fans".

I prefer .flac, it pretty much trumps CDs and Mp3 in terms of sound quality though it can tend to be much bigger. As far as the vinyl thing goes I think the comparison between it and .flac would be negligible but their are more parameters to consider when comparing the two.

So I guess I prefer digital ?

A headline on Google tech news recently was that 'experts' predict Google(ironically) and facebook would probably not exist in 5years.
To me, the lack of human iteraction seems to have made people more self obsessed?
