Just starting my guitar journey and this is what I bought.

Congrats ? And a good place to start IMO. Ibanez gios are said to be great players which is of utmost importance especially when you're just starting to learn guitar. The problem with a lot of entry level instruments is that they are difficult to play and then beginners think that playing guitar is terribly difficult when really its just that specific instrument. You will be on your way to jamming in no time! ? Enjoy it!

Must say it is a well built instrument and very solid.

Easy to play and great to learn on.

Great guitar that, I still top this day regret selling my old Gio, the neck is what really sets off that guitar from other cheapies on the market.

Quick hint though, pull off that pick holder that you have on the front of the guit and put it rather on the back of the headstock.

Nice one, Badapple! Gio's are pretty good bang for the buck, IMO...you're very lucky to have a decent guitar to start on, I was just hinking last night about my first axe. I stil have it, a super cheap Hohner SA acoustic, no name on the headstock, strings about an inch and a half away from the fretboard (and I'm not exaggerating either), I think my folks paid just under 300 bucks for it brand new for Xmas 1994. That thing was and still is painful to play but I hang onto it because of the custom case which my late grandfather made for it.
