Whilst deleting old files on my PC to make space for new ones, I came across this little gem.
When I first joined the Alter-Irving band, I played bass. We used to play at the Rustic Theatre (in Lonehill) on the last Sunday of every month. It was a hell of a nice gig 'cos we used to get 500-800 people there everytime we played.
At one of these gigs I took along my laptop and recorded the stereo feed from the mixing desk straight into Cubase...just for fun.
I think it turned out ok, bearing in mind that no seperate mixing of instruments and voices could be done and no overdubs were added afterwards.
The song is "Save Me" originally done by Clout and it was a huge hit back in 1980. Since Cindy was the lead vocalist for Clout, we always get requests to play this one and "Substitute". She absolutely hates those 2 songs, but they are massive crowd-pleasers and we'll probably play them at every gig till they band ceases to exist.
Cindy Alter - Vocals / 12-String Acoustic Guitar

Arno West - Bass

There was also a photograpther there that day and he took about a 1000 pics.
Here's one of them:
Enjoy.
