"Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash commented; "The news of Jim Marshall passing is deeply saddening. [Rock and roll] will never be the same without him. But, his amps will live on forever!".[2] Mötley Crüe bass player Nikki Sixx also paid tribute, stating Marshall was "responsible for some of the greatest audio moments in music's history - and 50% responsible of all our hearing loss."

RIP Jim "the father of loud" Marshall. id say he has left a legacy as big as those of Leo Fender and Les Paul.

I don't love Marshall amps, but they are history and have influenced music so much - he is a LEGEND in my books for what he accomplished in his life.

Rest in peace Jimbo. I have a feeling I am going to appreciate mine just a little more today.

Sad news. I feel almost ashamed that I don't own a Marshall amp so might have to go out and get one to pay tribute! If only the new 1w range were not so pricey!
