If I can get 1/4" stereo output jacks with the long shaft here in South Africa. I can order them from overseas but heck, that's crazy for a single jack hey. You get the short shaft jobs all over but I cant find the long ones and when you got through some thickish plywood it takes some fancy footwork to get the nut on the other side.

Barrel jacks for electric or endpin jacks for acoustic?

Gee I've never heard them referred to as that but I know it's not endpin jacks because the ones I'm after are those with all the stuff exposed, you the pieces that you solder onto. I'm talking about the ones like this for instance:

Ah, of course! Check with Gareth at Marshall Cape to see if they have the DiMarzio EP1301 jack socket and use without the lock washer.
