Anyone know Custom?

Stumbled across
this
just now; anyone know anything about the claim as to its origin?

Probably by Tokai? Probably made by magic guitar elves in never-never-land? Made in heaven by angels? Probably.
Three screw truss rod cover just for starters says this isn't Tokai made if it's a 1978. At least I very much doubt it.

"Made in Japan" - the owner presumes that it is made in Tokai Gakki, when it could be any of a half dozen other factories too. In any case, I see it is a two-piece sandwich body which, even if it was made by Tokai, shows it's not up to the same standards as Tokai had in the '80s or now.

Tokai made a few Grecos back then, and a few Burnys under contract to Fernandez. But noteably they all look just like Tokais from the same period - just with different logos. They also made a few under the Grandy logo for some reason. To my knowledge they've never made sandwich bodies (until their recent SEB line, but that's something quite different).
I've asked on mylespaul to see if anyone knows this brand there. I mean, how does this guy even know that it's MIJ, or that it's from 1978? I don't see anything in the ad to support the assertion.

Walk away... walk away... 8)
I figured that a late seventies Tokai should fetch a little more than the highest bid at E300. Okes in Holland tend to be clued up about value before bidding. Thanks for the replies.
