Funny thing happened at sat gig

I do a regular sat afternoon into early evening instrumental solo jazz gig just up from melville on sat and as always if anyone can play jazz i invite them up to jam , so this couple are having dinner and the guy says he's a bassist and percussionist and can he jam percussion with me . So he did and i have a whole percussion setup on stage so he sat in . And we musta played 2 sets together , great chemisty ? then this other member of the audience who was dining there comes up and offers to book us for a corporate function ? which we accepted of course ?

well Yes it's a win ? but the funny side of it is , how many times do you battle to land gigs especially jazz gigs and often rehearse like crazy with a band and here a 1st time jam gets booked , the guy that booked us thought we were an established band as he arrived only during the jamming session ? and we have not told him otherwise ? to me i see the funny in that .

Well if anyones keen to catch a show of mine , this sat afternoon is great cos we will be having a function , a wedding i think , in part of the venue but it's still open to public , so we specially having all day live music , starting at 12 midday with my 1st set , as always i will be playing my instrumental jazz possibly with some guests ? if they stop by and will alternate sets with acoustic guitar and vocalist richard . . . Oop's i forget his surname but he's also been involved as radio presenter who will alternate sets with me and since we both 100 % live as in no back tracks it's a great lineup and for valentine's day this year we also shared the gig so it works great and we compliment each others act and that means we each alternate sets so live music will run from midday till early evening about 8 ish and switch between jazz and acoustic folk pop with vocals , great venue called tasca do sol 12 lewes rd westdene it's corner of lewes and motor rd in westdene thats just up the hill from melville . Foods great kids and dogs welcome it's right over road from westdene dam and within sight of UJ stadium . Sat should be great day with double bill and possible guests on my jazz sets , and next week it'll be back to me alone doing jazz on sat afternoon but starting from 3 ish not 12 like this week . Oh and thats westdene in jhb not the one in durban ?
