Today was my last day playing for my current church and as luck would have it, something went wrong on pedalboard. I couldn't get enough level out of my board to get any sort of OD and I didn't have enough time to setup the amp's drive channel. I ended up playing both services with an almost totally clean sound. I even cranked the amps gain up to almost full to try to get some sort of OD sound. I'm hoping the problem is just a faulty patch cable and not my Musicom controller.
I guess this is the risk you take with a complicated pedalboard setup ☹

Yup. That's why it's good to learn to get the most out of your amp and guitar alone. So if all else fails, you can just plug straight in and pull off a show.
I'd suspect cables before the pedals though - especially if you are using one of the solderless systems.

Ja, crank the amp and play with your dynamics.
When you play harder you tend to drive the strings, that's the best way I can explain it. ???

I think I'm gonna replace my main I/O patches with soldered patch cables. As for amp time, that's gonna have to wait. My amp is sitting in a box in my brother's garage in CT and I'm gonna be bouncing back and forth between PE and CT for the next month or so.
