greetings
I'm just about nearly finished a pedalboard that I will be happy with. Pedals are: Keeley compressor, Hardwire CM-2, Alan's Barber LTD that I just bought ?, Vox Ice 9, Malekko Ekko 616 analog delay (thanks Reinhard), Line 6 M9 with expression pedals, and a Dunlop DVP1 volume pedal, all powered by a BBE Supa Charger.
I find the Hardwire CM-2 and the Ice 9 to be quite similar. In all honestly, I actually prefer the CM-2 slightly (I find it to be clearer because of the treble control), and I'm having a problem with the Ice 9 fitting on my board as I wish it had the jacks on the top. I do love the tones I get out of it though, but I also am not really using the "more" switch, so I feel like it's taking up space. Sometimes I feel like the tone from the Ice 9 is magic though. So, the question is, should I stick with it and make it fit, or buy another TS-type pedal like the Way Huge Green Rhino or Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive (both with jacks on the top), or should I get another type of drive altogether, or would I be fine with just the Barber and the Hardwire and buy a Micro POG? I do want an octave pedal.
Decisions, decisions. I don't want to get a bigger pedalboard (physically), I've decided to stick with this size.

tough decisions eh , but a nice place to be basically....
i liked the ice 9 , i reckon its worth having around ....

Tough decisions, yes ?
What about a Way Huge Pork Loin? It can do the TS sound and more... Might be better than getting a Green Rhino as I already have the CM-2.

You have enough drives - and a volume pedal. Get something else ?

I have one of the original two knob ones... I see you want the four knob one. They are essentially the same pedal, with two of the trim pots on the inside. Who knows, if you want to make an offer I could consider ?
So should I get a boost pedal? Looking at an MI Audio Boost n Buff.
How much do Micro POG's go for? They seem to be very expensive.
I don't need tremolo or chorus, the M9 covers that for the few times I need them.

Isn't someone selling one on GT?
Instead of using a boost, turn your amp up a little and use your volume pedal?

No need to keep two pedals that are similar, unless you have them set to different gain ranges. And replacing one quality pedal with another that sounds the same is silly (unless it's an out and out upgrade from a cheapie to a good'un).
Personally, I prefer to have maximum three drives with different voices that stack well - that's seven different drive sounds right there. If you need flexibility, replacing one drive with a distortion or fuzz is another option.
The Micro POG is more than a straightforward octaver - it's more of an up/down pitch shifter. Unless I'm making organ noises, I like the old analog models that can only play one note at a time, but don't have a delay.

Not sure about anything on Gumtree. I use my volume pedal for swells so prefer to have it's full range. I can also get the MI Audio for a good price. Anything better? How well would the buffer in it suit me with my setup?
Not so sure about the Micro POG actually. Once again. the octave and whammy effects in the M9 are good for when I need them.
Distortion... I could get a RAT?
Never really used fuzz before. Appreciate the advice ? just need to decide on one more pedal... If I get the Boost n Buff then I could get something else with it too.

And I know the Micro POG does up and down octave shifts... I like that ?

Sounds like you've got money burning a hole in your pocket. Use it for some legit lessons? ?

NICE board setup! I also enjoy having a few OD's to stack
IF you wanna get rid of the Keeley comp I would maybe trade my Rothwell Love Squeeze

Shadow1, PM sent.
Tonight I sat down and finally listened to my overdrives in a really quiet setting. Turns out I prefer the Ice 9... The Vox is indeed amazing for me. The Hardwire is just missing something with my setup. I know it's great for a lot of other guys, and it's great for me, but the Ice 9 is better. And Alan's old LTD arrived today, I'm loving the combo.
MikeM
The LTD is great ?
