What should I be paying for an Epiphone 335 Dot? 2nd hand.

I've always been a fan of the guitar. The sustain, pickups, versatility and look. I'm currently in the process of grabbing an Epiphone Les Paul Gibson '56 Goldtop (as my other thread makes mention of) But I may just be inclined to go for the Dot.

Thing is I'd like to own a semi-hollow too, but the LPG is something iconic I love as well.

I fear I may have to play both to make a decision, but don't have the oppurtunity to.

Anyway, as per usual, I digress.
What would you be willing to pay for a Epi 335 Dot?

New street price in usa is 399 dollahs so here should be around 4k after discount , but then ask for a bit more discount and try and get it for around 3500 ...

or take it at 4k iwth a gig bag and some strings ?

Thats if you buying new.

Second hand i reckon around 2500 unless u get a case etc

Wouldn't part with mine for less than 3.5k. Wouldn't trade it for 2 new ones either.

Wish I could get it for those prices ?

Anyway, it'll have to sit back on the wishlist for another month or two.

Going to look at a '56 Epiphone Les Paul Gibson GoldTop (Reissue) tomorrow.
In my mind - its a done deal already.

Any advice on what to look out for?
My 1st electric guitar purchase in ages.

Current wishlist in order is:
The Epi LPG, Shure 57 & 58, Focusrite 2i/2o and perhaps Studio Monitors or the 335 Dot next.

What I personally found with the Epi Dots is the older ones were better, newer ones seemed to be not as well made, but check them out for yourself and determine that.
