No offense but, the easiest sollution is to learn the songs properly. No need for music stands or whatever then. IMO there is nothing worse than a musician performing with his eyes fixed on a music stand or any other device. It looks seriously unprofessional. Learn the songs.
Still much more user friendly when practising from a electronic device than to flip through hundreds of pages in a file.
Agree that to be prepared is better, and do not like performing with music stands. But sometimes it is just not viable, especially if you have a very big repertoire to chose from and you need to improvise on the fly as the set requires.
I know of some very talented muso's that use sheets to play from. And who says you can't use it at rehearsals as references?
Just saying that we will always have to use the music at some point, whether while learning the song or at rehearsals.
