Take a gander at these beauties... 13 of the best high gain amps on the market. The guitarists Could be better... but anyway,which one would you prefer?

Personally I like the Engl and Blackstar the most!

I doubt I'll ever be able to play with all of these, but thats some seriously hot amps. you guys maybe know of a similar comparison but with blues type amps?

Yeah,the gain on these amps are pretty insane! a problem with this is that many guitarists and fellow forumites have a greater admiration of vintage amps than these modern behemoths... and these amps' prices are pretty insane as well

Thats old though news... they need a new list..

I think that list is till applicable. Don't know of any "new" amps that will get better blues tone?

The Framus Cobra is probably the one I'd go for, but I've heard mixed reviews about the way they respond so I guess as is generally the case I'd rather try one first. At R33k for just the head I doubt that'll happen though ?

Orange Rockerverb & Soldano is by far my fav two.

The Soldano over the Orange RV. Now if they tested the Orange Thunderverb, i would have probably prefered the Orange over the Soldano.

Orange for the win! an unbelievable amp- quite versatile as well. certainly not just a "metal amp".

Agreed! Some of these monsters are one trick ponies and the Orange seems to be a bit more than that!
