I have read a lot about Seagull Acoustics. How does your one play?
I'm not much of a acoustic aficionado, I bought this on for social occasions only, hence no preamp.
I tend to do "shootouts" with other gear on my shortlist before I part with my hard-earned dosh, and the Seagull had the nicest tone (especially the bass response) when compared to some other options at that price-point (+/-R2,000.00), even with the lighter gauge strings I put on. In terms of volume it also projects very well. It's handmade in Canada and has a solid top. I also like the fact that the fretboard is fairly wide.
I wasn't too keen on the headstock shape tho, but it's grown on me since ....
