Fair enough, you may warm up to it soon enough. They are excellent practice tools for those who don't have regular jam-partners / band-practice sessions (you may be fortunate enough to not be lacking in this department). They are also quite a convenient rapid composition tool.
If you're truly never going to use it though, I am sure whoever gave it to you as a gift wouldn't be offended if you traded it in for something you would actually use and enjoy rather than holding on to an expensive paper-weight.
