Double posting?

Anybody else getting this? I type up a reply, click post and get the message

Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post.

And I see the post I've just typed up sitting there in the thread AND sitting there in the dialog box so that I can review it or back out.

This happens when I'm posting to a thread that's already been started, not when I start a new thread.

Seen the warning message a few times before, especially on very active threads. But I've never seen the post I was typing, which prompted the warning message, already included in the thread.

I have seen that message when I submit a reply and someone else has already submitted a reply since I last read the topic. I have been getting it for a long time.

Yeah - that's how it is supposed to work. But Bob's getting it from his own post.

How's your connection Bob? Could be an automatic refresh because the browser isn't getting a response from the server after the first try.

Possible, but it happens real fast. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it's confined to one connection.

Hmmm... and when I send a PM I get a message saying that I posted in the last 5 seconds and must wait a bit (and the message I'm trying to send is already in the "out" box). Something is getting ahead of itself here.

Whatever the problem is, it's confined to a specific network. I have no problem using the same computer on other networks.
