Studios in Gauteng

Hey guys,

We're currently looking into recording our album.

So step 1 is obviously see what it's gonna cost.

I've googled around but cannot seem to find a proper list of studios in the GP area.

We're basically looking for a studio that does good work, but does not charge an arm, leg, and drumsticks. Maybe a bit much to ask as recordings are mostly expensive, but you get the idea.

Any suggestions?

They ask R450 for a solo recording using backtrax. You'll have to ask them about a full band.

My suggestion would be Peter Hanmer's Studio, Foxglove Studios in Alberton.

Peter's a wizard in his Studio, great musician and great engineer/producer.

He's a member here on the forum, PJH is his member name.

John Paul has his studio in boksburg called b sharp studio.

He does great work, done everyone from aking to heroes wear red..

TK, R2k is cheap imo..

My personal opinion, you need to let us know what your budget and style is. Everyone has their favourite studio and engineer/producer.
